Can't Eat In The Heat.

Why do people say that, oh it's too hot for a meal? I never have this problem, I can eat at anytime day or night, I wish the heat did put me off.

I lose my appetite in the heat. Maybe will fill up on fluids.

It's not the weather for big steaming bowls of stew. Salads are OK in any heat.

I tend to snack more when it's hot, but eat smaller meals..........

I can't eat in the heat as I then doze off.I then waken up feeling sick :(

I do make up for it later on in the evening though so it hasn't helped my waistline one iota !

Agreed. I might not fancy a heavy meal, but I still like to eat something. Soup and sandwiches tonight :c)

sitting outside 35C in the shade, looking over the ionian sea bottle of cold sauvignon blanc and a plate of even colder seafood trumps a cold rainy day and a cuppa soup. :-)

I tend to go for lighter things when it's hot though I'm not keen on really hot weather generally. More soup, sandwich, salad kinda stuff.

I saw a headline somewhere earlier about another heatwave on the way to the UK, nooooooo!

I like salads and refreshing foods when it is warm as it is now, not bread or stodge . I drink more...tea.!

It varies. In today's air conditioned offices there is a lack of heat rather than excess, so the appetite isn't reduced. But when I used to take a break on the Med (not done so for years) I found the excess heat upped my consumption of fluids but meant I only wanted something small if anything at all, to eat mid-day. A reasonable breakfast in the relative cool of the morning, and a decent meal in the evening, was enough.

Loads of fruit and salads when hot....can't be bothered with anything cooked..

Tends to be salads and fruit and seafood here, and a few new potatoes.
Roasts and 'main meals' have gone by the board.
Funnily enough, bread has too.

Although it is 37º here I will still cook a curry or s/s chicken with all trimmings, (never a roast) but family come home and say "can't it that, too hot, want a sandwich" well I do not like sandwiches or salads.
