British Gas Website Problems?

I'm running 32bit Win XP and IE8.

I've been using the British Gas Top Up website for around a year with no problems. Recently I tried to log on and the website told me I was running an incompatible OS. I needed to use a pc with either XP, Vista or Win 7.

I'm using XP, the only thing that has changed on my pc is I uninstalled McAfee.

Why is the website saying I don't have XP, is there something i'm missing here?

I haven't had that problem but have had "you are running an incompatible browser" top up does not work with ie10 if you have upgraded. If this is your problem launch the BG website click on top up and when it says about incompatible browser press f12 then at bottom choose browser mode ie9 or ie8. hope this helps.
