Sponsoring A Nanny From The Philippines

Hi everyone, I am trying to bring a nanny from the Philippines to look after my two children. I have run into some snags when it comes to my sponsorship of her. Any advice on the quickest way to go through this process?

I think that she will count as an Immigrant if she is coming to work, and visas now are only available for highly skilled workers who can not be recruited from the UK workforce. A nanny will not count as a highly skilled job.

Not my business really, but there are plenty of nannies already in the UK, why try to import one?

Why would you want a nanny whose first language is not English?

The child would grow to be bilingual. It would speak Tagalog and English.

One of my friends was a nanny in the 60's but was 'let go' by the very posh family she worked for as the children acquired quite a strong Yorkshire accent.........

Far easier to employ a nanny from the country you live in. Britain has the world's leading nanny school, Norland College but there are lots of agencies that supply nannies all over the UK

The huge majority of Filipinos speak perfect English it is a compulsory subject as soon as they start school, they are even taught to speak 'accentless' English that is easily understood anywhere that English is spoken.
