Gold filling has just come out (back tooth bottom teeth) No possibility of getting dentist to re-fix until Mon/Tue at earliest. Problem being that there are two sharp points of tooth left surrounding the space where filling goes. Its a 'dead' tooth so no other pain. Could I get anything from chemist to temporarily cover these sharp points or temporarily re fix filling as I know from past experience that I'll end up with huge ulcers on tongue where it catches. Would poly grip or similar work as a temp measure?

You can get emergency dental kits from the pharmacy - with stuff to plug the tooth temporarily. If I'm going to a country where medical services aren't great, I take one with me - just in case.

Just leave it alone. As long as there is no sin, as you say , then just leave it.
The chemist will have gutta perka. Not sure of spelling. This is a bit like blue tak consistency and is to make temporary fillings.

Last dental check up I mentioned this to Dentist and explained about how it cuts up my tongue when it comes out and he did say there was something I could get from chemist as 'temp filling' but didn't say what. I've got cotton wool over the point at present-believe me when I say the ulcers are a real mess and were very painful when it happened before.

Dentek from the chemist. Lost filling and cap repair. Fast drying, no mix. Safe to eat on. Applicator to easily reach back teeth. Good lick.
