I am looking for an answer to this teaser!!. Advert in UK a few years ago, a guy walks into a room and says "I've never known a night like it"

The advert opens with two blokes in sou'westers in a rowing boat, on a stormy night battling high waves and torrential rain. They eventually get to the pub by the water. Then they walk in, at which one person declares 'I've never known a night like it', before they suppi beer at the bar. The last shot is the pay-off...
...we see a sign that states:
Municipal Boating Lake.
Ad was also captioned with the name of the beer & brewing company.
Beer advert, 1980's, (roughly between 1982 to 1988 from memory) usually seen on late night on Central (ITV). Sadly, I don't know which brand of booze this was advertising...
