can some one help me witht he logic of my final clue please?
10d "Holiday resort that is bad? Indeed, having entered one's first to leave." (6,5) I have S*i*l*/ I*l*s. So the answer would seem to be Scilly Isles. Apart from bad=ill, I can't see the logic of the reasoning. Very annoying as I managed to do the rest of the puzzle.

that is = SC - short for sculpsit, meaning namely

bad = ILL

indeed = YES
one's = I'S
first to leave = L

sc ill Y is l ES

Thank you sir! I didn't know that SC=namely. One to learn as I continue to try to improve. Thanks to you and the other maestros, like Lie-in-King, I am actually beginning to feel more confident. It helps having my exams safely out of the way of course so that I can spend the time needed without being told off!

I am just staggered at the extent of your (and the other maestros) knowledge! My teachers (ex, now, I hope) are knowledgeable but you guys are amazing!
