Too Dark In Mill

I am enjoying 'the mill' on ITV, but, could we have just a bit more light so that we can see as well as hear what's going on, yes I understand the lighting was not good in those days, but am also sure that there must have been sufficient light for the workers to see what they were doing at least.

Yes I totally agree, I am enjoying it but I was only just thinking the other night it would be better if I could see more!
'twas probably filmed like that to give some authenticity...great series
This is a picture of the interior of the mill as it is now. Plenty of windows,but very low ceilings...and try to imagine it jammed with workers and no electric ceiling fixtures. The air would have been full of dust-which would also create a darker atmosphere.

I didn't bother watching because it was too dark.
