Pins & Needles All Over
12 Answers
I had the strangest sensation at work?
Pins & needles all over and felt waves coming over my body and quite lightheaded! Never happened before... I was actually chatting about my occasional panic attacks to my colleague!
Apparently this can be an effect of anxiety? Or mabye this "low folate" ive been having?
Ever had this? Not worried at all just strange! X

Urgh. Hate this! :-(
I get this whenever I go into 'panic mode'. It mainly effects my hands, but I've occasionally had it in my mouth... specifically on my tongue. Very weird sensation.
I thought it was to do with hyperventilating? That's what a doctor once told me anyway. Something about not enough oxygen getting to the brain???
If I allow it to get too bad, my whole hands 'seize up' and look like a claw!

I get randomly tingly all over feelings from time to time though just stuck it down to one of those things and get a lot of pins and needles anyway.
Will have to check if I'm stressed next time it happens :) If I'm stressed I tend to hold my breath rather than hyperventilate. I never realised until someone pointed it out to me but if something is raised I feel uncomfortable about I tend to hold my breath though I guess it's a control state thing, like eating disorder too. I seem to over control myself rather than lose control.
