Only another 500,000 or so illegal immigrants and fake asylum seekers to get rid of.

Abu Qatada's family leave UK for Jordan

The family of deported radical cleric Abu Qatada have left the UK, the Home Office has said.

It said they had dropped an application for leave to remain in the UK.

The BBC understands the family are flying to join Abu Qatada in Jordan, where he was sent after deportation from the UK in July.

Abu Qatada will stand trial for terror offences in Jordan after assurances that evidence obtained through torture would not be used against him.

I wonder if his children will still be eligible for child benefits?
What ages are the children? If they were brought up here Jordan will seem very foreign to them. Can they come back if they want to?
I don't think he was technically a legal immigrant was he? I thought he was an asylum seeker.
^^ Illegal
He was granted asylum. He was entitled to be here. If Jordan hadn't asked for him to be extradited, he'd still be here.
who cares...the filth and his family are gone
He and his family were not here as illegal immigrants.

Illegal immigrants cannot claim child benefits or any other benefits.

No he will not be able to claim child benefit for the children living abroad in Jordan.

Sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he came here on a forged passport, claimed asylum and was granted it, would that have happened had the authorities known the passport was forged. Never mind he and they have gone, good riddance.
