Pysbbo- is this about that strange fact that boiling water freezes more quickly than water at room temperature does?

I don't think I can explain it, though thank you for the vote of confidence!

My suspicion is that the effect might disappear in "pure" water, but it's just a suspicion and shouldn't be taken all that seriously.
Oh and psybbo, you got rid of that cute cat picture?! How sad, I liked seeing that cat.

Tesco make my ice cubes..............
Nobody. I have a fridge with a plumbed in ice-maker, so na na ni na na! It has one disturbing feature. It makes strange rumbling and crashing noises as it empties the new ice into the container. It's like something from a documentary on glaciers meeting the sea. And it does it at random at all hours

Why would anybody use boiled water to make ice cubes ? The same people perhaps that waste money buying bottles water in Tesco ?
Using boiled water is supposed to make them clear as there are no air bubbles in it. 'Ordinary' ice cubes have tiny air bubbles in which makes them a bit cloudy. Nothing to do with freezing faster.
