Capacity Of A Memory Stick

How can you find out what capacity is left on a memory stick?

I do it as follows:
insert memory stick in laptop
click on Computer
right click on the pendrive name/icon
It then tells me how much is free

It would help if you said what OS you are using!

I do it without thinking normally
I omitted a step here- when you right click select Properties to read the details of space left

Plug it in the click start and go to computer it should show up telling you the capacity and how much space you have left, or right click on it to the same information.
