We have a bottle everynight at home and over the years I've gone through a whole load of corkscrews.
The standard screwpull is good, but doesn't last long, and I now use a dual lever Waiters' Friend type of corkscrew. It is inexpensive, simple, easy to use, takes up little room and fits in a pocket.
Look for a teflon coated screw - i.e. black, not bare metal and a wide spiral.
