I am getting new garden fence panels, which have been dipped. Is it advisable to paint them before installing, or should I leave it until next year? My thought would be to do it before the bad weather, but my sister says you should let them "weather" first then do it. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
It means that the wood has been treated under pressure with a proprietary mixture containing copper and arsenic as a preservative. Should be good for 10 years. But if you wish to change the colour, or add yet more preservative by painting/spraying, then it can't do any harm.
