remakes of movies/series
13 Answers
Over the past couple of years there have been remakes of older movies & series. Some quite good like charlies angels, & some bobbins like the hulk. Out of all the old movies with todays amazing graphics I am interested in what you lot would like to see remade that has not been remade yet?

Oh come on! The Italian Job! Perfection?? I ask you!! Good film yes, but nowhere near perfection. For a start it has Michael Caine in it. Worst actor ever! In response to your excellent Q manutdstott, a film I would love to see remade would be a big budget version of "Treasure Island", a fantastic story just waiting for the treatment! What with the success of "Pirates of the Caribbean" you never know...
Yeah I would like to see Jason & the argonaughts, Sinbad or Clash of the titans remade. Also Maybe Deathrace 2000, North by North West, Superman, I'm disappointed they remade Italian Job, the've americanised it. I bet there isn't an Englishman in it! I've heard they're remaking King Kong yet again as well.
I think they should do a remake of Mad Max, still with Mel Gibson (in those leathers) but with a slightly different storyline. He is saved from the likes of Bubba and clan by a character called Coggles (played by me). He is soooo grateful to be rescued, he devotes the rest of his life thanking her...............
Saw a trailer for the new Italian job....I hate to say it but it looks good...BUT I will never see it unless it's on TV...I'm not paying to see it on principle.....I don't mind some remakes..but why does it have to be called the same name...why not 'The Italian Heist'
I hear Tim Burton & Johnny Depp are going to remake Charlie & the Chocolate factory, it should be good...Very dark.
I would like to see a remake of WestWorld...I think it could be fantastic. I love the original, but think they could do a lot with it.
In all seriousness to a great question, I would like to see a remake of the James Stuart film 'Harvey'. Now, the weird thing is, I have never been a fan of Jim Carey, I find his 'acting' a bit too whacky - but the one film I think he was really good in was 'Truman show'. I could see him doing a pretty good job in a remake of Harvey. Having said that, there aren't many remakes of originals that 'better' the original..... Psycho for example......
P.S. If anyone takes this idea on and makes a fortune, I want a cut!
they ARE remaking westworld - apparently. check out http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0070909/board/nest/1765
889. how about remaking Bonfire of the Vanities seeing as they made such a hash of it at first attempt (or is it just an unfilmable book?)
