loft convertion

could any one give me an approximate price of a loft convertion in the hull area, it's a 3 bedroom house, think its pre war i've heard this makes a difference as i shouldn't need a new metal re-enforcing joist, thanx

hi the price differs greatly with what is neaded,you ought to get a surveyer to draw you plans then you will be able to get a proper price.you must go through building regulation as it is illegal to alter your loft without them being involved and if you do it with out them your house insurance can be void without a certificate from the local council to say you have had building regs on it.also as around to see if any one can recomend a good builder to do this work for you as it can be a nightmare if a cowboy is used
