Rent A Room Scheme

Does anyone know if an adult family member (daughter and boyfriend and baby) qualify under the rent a room scheme? Or does the lodger you take in under the scheme have to be non family? Cannot find any information on any formal website? Many thanks.

surely her boyfriend counts as a non family member either way doesnt he?

Think they have to be non family (would be seen as family as father of grandchild) best to ring your local council housing benefit dept they will advise
