I think the US Govt should quietly let Manning go in a few months on the proviso he stops destroying the international image of the US soldier as a strapping, 6 foot, gung ho macho man.

On the other hand, maybe Chelsea reckons she'll get the realignment surgery courtesy of Uncle Sam ...

you don't have to be a strapping 6 footer to fire a gun, he does look weedy but so do many soldiers, some of the specimens that passed muster in WW1, WW2 in Britain, probably shouldn't have been allowed out of doors, however there was a war on and it was every many needed.

they all look like someone in Schwartenegger's team in 'Predator'

but they are also smart and thoughtful and kind to their mums :-)
