I can get a sick note from my doc for another 7 days, I have asked for it but it will take 2 days to issue it! I can't get an appointment til 4th sept though. those gp receptionists are like those stone dogs in ghostbusters.

I have to say my GPs secretaries are good - but then they couldnt have many (live) patients who were on chemo and neutropenic....

As long as you get it before you return to work it should be fine.

thee are people at work who would like to know their shifts for the next 7 days and t the moment it,s a penciled in rota, though if the go can't issue a sick note because I have only been seen by the emergency doc I might get annoyed

At my place of work you are expected to provide a fit note from the doc as soon after the 7 days as possible.

what's wrong? Is there another job role you can take on at work whilst unable to carry out yours, or do you have a virus?

I have a virus and have trouble breathing if I walk to the co.op let alone spending an 8 hour day on my feet.

You are right about GP receptionists. They think they are bodyguards to the Doctors. Its like an obstacle course trying to get past them !!

alwaysconfused, I think my work colleagues would rather i stayed away instead of going in and infecting everyone, a virus travels quite well, i've picked it up at work no doubt.

blue pixi, i know i will need at least another 7 days to recover, I could only get a doctors appointment for the 4th and so i am not going back until i have seen him.
