No way! That's disgusting. Isn't it covered by animal cruelty laws?
No place whatsoever. Disgraceful.
I hope some of them have enough conscience to refuse to play, if it happens. I doubt it, though.

I don't know if petitions do any real good, but this at least allows people who object to air their opinion.
This for real ?

I'm unsure this sort of idiocy is something a country should encourage. Maybe under some local affront to public decency law ? But if the sheep is slaughtered according the legal definition of slaughter that applies in the UK then there is less of an issue. However if the sheep isn't used for food afterwards but just killed and sling, then I think there ought to be something that stops it being legal.

I suspect it isn't to help his team relax (?!?!?) but put the opposing team off their game. So it could amount to cheating.
Thanks sandy. I've signed that.
It's not easy to simply say that archaic customs don't belong in a modern environment, even if we don't share those customs.

One might just as easily say that there is no place for halal food.
Do they eat the sheep?

The Hoops management could play some mind games and put the opponents off thier game on the park by ensuring the Scottish society for the prevention of cruelty to animals is on hand to ensure there's no sacrifices.
It doesn't really have anything to do with modern football. Certain countries and religions have a taste for animal sacrifice in all areas of their life. If people really cared they should be petitioning those governments concerned.

Michel platini maybe able to stop it happening in the few grounds where it takes place such as turkey and russia,(he has no powers in the middle east) but most of the sacrifices take place outside the stadium.
