Really Heavy Duty Earplugs!

Is anyone able to recommend some really effective earplugs?
My boyfriend snores and we only live in a one bedroom flat so I can't sleep elsewhere.
Due to back problem he is only able to sleep on his back.
I am currently using foam Earfit earplugs but they are not heavy duty enough.
Any suggestions would be very gratefully received!

Get him to his GP and find out why he is snoring, it may be fixable.

Might be easier/better to sort the problem rather than you having to find a way to live with it.

Mind you, if you can't hear him, you won't be able to hear your alarm clock, and will have to get one which goes under your pillow and rumbles.
I do sympathise - my father used to snore as loud as a passing locomotive and trying to sleep in his house was a misery. My poor mother !

I use these, though I don't have that wholesale amount just a smaller box from the chemst. My OH snores like a train and these work a treat and are comfortable as well (very important or your ear will ache). As atlanta mentioned though, be careful for ones that make your hearing so reduced that you don't hear your alarm, as you might not hear your smoke alarm.

I find the foam ones aren't enough, I use wax ones. I stuff them in as far as they can go so they block out a lot of noise. But work their way out enough by morning to enable me hear an alarm no problem. I use ones called Quies, you can get the online or some Lloyds chemist (never found them in Boots).

I noticed in Boots the other day there is a whole section on snore relief medication. He needs to see his GP - it's more important to find out why he snores and whether anything can be done about it.

Boots do do them - they're called Muffles and they're wax and they do a fantastic job.

I agree, wax ones are the best. I had to use earplugs some years back (noisy neighbour) and the wax ones were the best. Completely blocked out all sound.
