Ups Email...contains Virus????

I received an email this morning from UPS which was also sent to other people(showing at top of email),,telling me that a parcel was on its way.I don`t expect any as have not made any orders...I deleted it...could contain a virus!!!!
Anyone out there had one?

Yes, I have. It's quite a common scam. Delete it immediately and don't open any attachments. Might also be an idea to remove it from your Deleted Items folder, if you have one.

Yes, frequently - either UPS or the US mail service or... or... (except they are no from those organisations) they're phishing for your email address, so don't ever answer.

Just ask yourself: if they've got a parcel for me, how does it happen that they've also got my email address?

These scammers pick up valid email addresses on the fly from internet traffic.

You now need to do a virus scan because you were right to think that the E/mail could have contained a virus.:-
