Cliff Morgan: Rest In Peace

Just waking up to the very sad news that Cliff Morgan has passed away. The rugby community worldwide will e saddened at his passing.
Famous not only for his playing ability but for delivering commentary on what is widely acknowledged as the greatest try of all time (Gareth Edwards for the Barbarians v The All Blacks).
A true gentleman, he will be sadly missed.

RIP indeed. I don't remember him playing but I remember his rugby commentaries.
Also fondly remembered, along with Henry Cooper and David Vine, from the days when Question of Sport was a proper quiz and not a cabaret :-)

Agree wholeheartedly with your views about QoS, ichkeria. The only slight difference of opinion I have is that, properly done, cabaret often involves talented individuals and can be quite entertaining. However, the current QoS……… :-(

Agree with everybody here. Just like to add that Cliff's voice will be sadly missed. He had that wonderful, sonorous Welsh lilt, just like Richard Burton and Wynford Vaughan-Thomas before him. I could gladly have listened to Cliff read from the telephone directory !
