Problem With Warning Message.

Switched on my notepad a few days ago,blue screen with a message that it had shut down unexpectedly(it hadnt) press any key to stop its disc checking i did this a few times and the last time decided to just let it run.Now i keep getting a message box on screen do i want to send an error report.If i keep clicking dont send it eventually goes off screen but after about 30mins comes back on again.How can i stop it coming on at all,its very annoying when trying to work.

However, if I can assume
(a) that you're referring to a notebook (or similar); and
(b) that it's running a version of Windows
then I suggest running System Restore to take the device's registry back to a date just before the problem first arose.
In Windows XP the route to get to System Restore is Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. It's broadly similarly in other versions of Windows.
However, if I can assume
(a) that you're referring to a notebook (or similar); and
