I'm contemplating Bang Bang Chicken to use up some odds and ends lurking in the fridge for supper this evening.

Tomorrow will hopefully involve some beans and potatoes from the garden, protein TBD.

What about the rest of you?

Chicken and salad tonight. Might have a glass of red. Good quality choc and peanuts for a film later.
Don't know about tomorrow, but it was to be al a carte fried egg, sauté potatoes and baked beans for today, now changed to al a carte fish and chips from local chippy! Oh how the other half live AND to go down well with gin and tonic hiccup very nice slurp.
It's been gin o'clock for the last two hours here, sitting in the sun, topping up the tan :)
Made the coleslaw and potato salad after all although to be honest, after all the gin consumed, I couldn't care less what we eat.
Anyone for a top up?? :o)
No idea yet, but we're going out for a meal with mother-in-law and brother-in-law (he's down from Manchester). If i don't have to cook, I'm happy!
I had cheese & broccoli bake with new potatoes & corned beef. Tomorrow it's chicken chasseur with roast & mashed potatoes, broccoli & fine beans & a nice bottle of red.

well, i have just had some chinese that i telephoned for, and was delivered

tomorrow i shall be making a giant pot of stew - having one bowl full, and freezing the rest in portions
I'm eating a jam doughnut (and there's another one left).
I had a ham and mustard baguette and I'm just about to have some Chinese chicken.
That's what I call PROPER food, Sherrardk!

BB chicken was lush but not filling enough.......now searching through cupboards and fridge for something to satisfy my appetite....

Mr Cake is going to be late home so instead of a lovely meal using the fab garden produce he's getting a cheese sarnie!

Question is what am I going to have???

Hope your Sunday lunch/supper/dinner has turned out better than mine!
I've made a Thai green curry (and I made the paste myself) and we're JUST about to eat it, and I'm going to have a glass of pear cider. Cheers:-)))
For my lunch earlier I had roast beef, Yorkshire puds, baby sprouts, baby carrots, broccoli and roast parsnips.
and didn't lift a finger?
Question Author
Apart from the fact that our beef would not have been rare enough for me your lunch has made me drool Tony!

I really want a roast, I think I might go and stamp my feet and have a tantrum!

and didn't lift a finger?

Oi madam, I'll have you know that I did lift a finger, that knife and fork was quite heavy ;-)

You could perhaps go out to a carvery, Eccles.
Question Author
Thanks for the suggestion Tony but I loathe carveries, add to that I don't know where to find one..... From my infrequent experience the veg is not seasonal the meat is cooked to death and the roast potatoes aren't crispy.........don't get me started on the one gravy fits all gravy........

The only redeeming feature is the endless supply of Yorkshire pudding and even they get flabby after a while!

I can only assume my two (?) carvery experiences have not been typical of the over all experience.
I know what you mean about carveries Eccles, however there is a pretty decent one not to far away from me but there are also some not to decent ones also. Found this out by trial and error.
Just thought it may save you having to cook tonight.
