I was given an oldeer version of TomTom after asking if anyone had one on my local Freecycle. Its doesn't sing or dance but does alert me of speed cameras & can be updated using the TomTom site. It is just basic but with the generosity of someone it saved me buying one. worth a try for you?

Thank you all for your help. I bought a Garmin from Argos as Buenchico suggested and have found it easy to use and nice clear display. This site is so good, isn't it xxx
