I absolutely adored him, in fact all my boyfriends minus one and my husband all look a bit like him. Lovely lovely man, he was as he appeared, a gentleman.

Yet another sad loss to the world of broadcasting. My mum danced with him for an evening & called him the "perfect gentleman", which is how he always came across on the radio - a genuine star has left the firmament.

RIP David.

Yes a great radio an TV presenter now sadly no longer with us.

I enjoyed that hour from 11.00 to 12.00 on a Sunday night when David played 'our kind of music' the type of music that sadly is a very rare occurrence during the many hours that the BBC broadcasts.

But then that easy listening music of days gone by, was further enriched by the wonderful voice that David possessed, yes a perfect accompaniment.
