Oh god alba you sound like one of the clean English - you know bath every week even if they dont need one.

That sounds an unacceptably long time. Been going that way for a while though: I'm certain they didn't take out miles of motorway at a time when I was younger, but now, with the average speed cameras, they don't care how long a stretch they take out. It's much the same attitude, those affected can lump it, we're doing what we want.

Ouch :( I'd over stock to be cautious, just in case.

I remember a couple of unplanned powercuts occurring in the evenings here and just being sat in the dark not quite knowing what to do with myself! I just felt lost and went to bed in the end :)

It did make me think though, how prepared people of other generations are. If it had been at my parent's place there would be candles, matches, torches, lamps....
