I don't know why Haley has decided to leave, to go on to bigger and better things maybe. Lots have tried to, some not many have succeeded but most have failed. They then attempt to return. Some do like Charity and Cain in Emmerdale. Unless you're Bobby Ewing you can't return if you have been killed off.

What a pity she couldn't have left with an option to return, she is such a popular character, but she wouldn't leave Roy, and we don't want to loose both of them.
