Casa lalla in marrakech or any other riads

I'm travelling to marrakech in May 06. I need some recommendations on a good, reasonably priced riad/s, hopefully with a pool, located in the medina. Tried to contact Casa Lalla but no comeback are they closed?

Any other advice will be greatly received - day trips, where to eat, etc,.

Finding a Riad with a pool inside the Medina can be a tricky task, as only the more expensive offer them.

You will get more space and a bigger pool if you stay outside the walls, however the down-side is you'll miss the excitement and 'buzz' of being in the Medina.

Most of the smaller Riads are privately owned, mostly be french couples, and there are excellent web-sites that allow you to book direct, and even choose your room.

Just come back from a week at Casa Lalla ... fantastic time, lovely roof top terrace, awesome food .... .have you contacted via their website .. or phone them ...it's well worth it ... best food I've ever eaten
