Morning all xx... unfortunately I have woken with a terrible cold...day in bed with beechams ....Will not make the mcmafia lunch...boo hoo...am burning up...
Grey and dry here, a hint of pale cream out on the horizon, the sea very calm....very peaceful and I have to admit that I have missed this. The Firth has always been such an understated place of beauty when you see it calm like this, the only action the dog walkers and now the mowers out on the fairways of the West Course.....
morning welshie even though I lived there 14 years my Arabic was poor but I could swear perfectly. CS was good at languages not me. My dad was the best typical Brit thought if you shouted at people instead of using a normal voice they would understand you ! lol. one good thing about UAE was they respected the elderly, he came out every winter for 3 months and he loved it out there the sun did his arthritis the world of good.
My grandfather had to do that, Dee, South Africa his winter abode of choice as he had rheumatoid arthritis. All I can remember was seeing interminable 8mm film footage of safaris and unknown, distant (not only the mileage) relatives and it rather put me off conventional safari......probably extended family too!
AHH Miss Whiplash....its the subconscious divine retribution all of us who will miss out on the McMafia gathering ;) Only kidding. Now if I was only closer I'd give you the ultimate hot toddy, my pal in France would travel to Aberdeen to get it when she's got the women's version of man flu ( OBVIOUSLY wo-man flu is no where near as serious as man flu)
no win albs I am afraid but ever hopeful back tonight for "bingo proper", last night only costs £3.
JJ I am glad you don't mind sharing with our little minx, the receptionist at the vets plays along and calls out Violet Elizabeth Bott and up I get + cat basket and we trot in to see the vet, older people smile the younger ones haven't a clue. CS had the full set of Just William books on CDs he loved the stories, his fav was about Mrs Bott's hat.
