Ebay- Setting A Price Limit On An Item Already On Auction

I've listed an item at 99p. There is 1 person bidding and there are 24 watchers.

I would like to change the item to a price limit of say £15, so the bids are lower than that the item doesn't sell.

My Q is is, how to I now set this limit now that the item is at auction.

Too late when there is a bid
You can't change it after a bid has been registered, still hopefully with 24 'watchers' the item might exceed your £15.00.
Like others have said, you can't change it once a bid has been placed, but you can End The Listing and start again. Or I know this is not ethical, but get a friend to bid on it to up the stakes.
Fusion5, go to the naughty corner!!!! Seriously though if you follow that course of action, your friend might have to end up buying it and you will be charged commission etc.
Fusion, the friend might win.
People usually leave it to nearly end to put their bids in. 24 watchers is showing a good amount of interest and the fact that they will most likely bid. If it were me I would just put this one down to experience and see what happens. I always put the starting price at whatever I will accept for it to be sold for, rather than a hidden reserve.
hee hee, I know, but there are ways around it, and if you don't want an item to go for 99p then it has to be done. ahem ! it happened to me last week, I made a big mistake of listing some camera equipment for 99p thinking I would be swamped with bids and even though I had 50 odd people watching but at 15mins to go still only 99p, so drastic action was taken. lol
I'd suspect that was against the eBay rules, not that they'll know because you won't .... oh, right.
I've had as many as 50 or 60 watchers and it still didn't sell!
You will have to cancel the listing and then list it again with a reserve of £15. You can not change a listing once bidding has started.
If the item is worth £15 or more with a start of 99p. The person who has bid may have put a maximum of say £20 and this will go up in increments each time somebody else bids.
You can't actually set a reserve price below £50; "If you don't want to sell your item below a certain price, specify a reserve price. The reserve price must be at least £50.";

What you could have done is set a Buy-it-Now (BIN) price. Maybe end the auction, with the reason "item no longer available", then re-list but this time either with a start price at the minimum you will take, or start at 99p but set a BIN price at the minimum you will take HOWEVER be aware that as soon as someone bids then BIN price will disappear!!

What are you selling? If worth less then £50 then your options are pretty limited regarding fixing a minimum price I'm afraid, other than the BIN option
