The gig was fantastic.....Roger Waters, The Wall concert...... but I didn't like the journey home afterwards. I have never been amongst so many people.
It was the tube station part that was unnerving. It was all very orderly and organised but thousands of people all trying to get onto the station platform at the same time was a bit scary.
I've never been to the new Wembley Stadium before. It was amazing. We were really high up though. That took a bit of getting used to. It was also a bit chilly. Does the roof actually close there?
I agree with you about Roger Waters being a ...., icg. I too prefer Dave but as a show it was the usual spectacular Pink Floyd event. Crashing planes and flying pigs
Comfortably Numb needs Dave as a contrast but unfortunately he wasn't there.
Sorry to here about your bad tube experience but as long as you avoid potential crush walls/corners and edge you'll always be safe.Better than being all alone late at night.
I think you did have your pocket-picked! You pay a mint to "see" anyone at Wembley Stadium. All that money to see a few tiny jelly-baby sized "stars" a "mile" away! Stick to Wembley Arena where you feel you are personal with the star(s). In 1990's we paid 2x £110 to "see" the 3 tenors at the old stadium but less than half to see and "nearly touch" Neil Diamond at the Arena.
Luv,
SIQ.
I know what you mean about the money, SIQ but it was an experience. The light show in that setting was fantastic. We saw Pink Floyd at Earls Court a few years ago and we have been to Wembley Arena several times. I enjoyed being at Wembley.
It's funny that when I went to the old Wembley Stadium for a cup final , I was surprised how small it was. Last night, I was surprised at how big it was.
