Disappearing Emails

My iPad is set up so that I can send/receive emails via my Hotmail account. Emails I receive go into my In Box file but after a few days they disappear. Can anyone tell me how I can recover these emails? Thanks.

My phone was doing exactly the same. I had to go into settings and change how long the emails were shown for. Hopefully will work for yours too.

I've just double- checked. Mine goes- settings, emails& accounts. Then the option is "download emails from". I clicked "any time" and they all came back. Hope that makes sense.
