I know this might sound really stupid to you computer buffs, but can anyone pplease tell me how to get my serfver back to how it was, I recently set up networking but ever since then i have lost my server and cannot use ebay or do any banking over the web please help. i have tried restoring to an earlier date and that won't work either.

Before anyone can help we need more information.

What sort of "server" are you talking about (in the computer world server can mean many types of things).

What sort of networking did you set up ? (again the term "networking" can mean many different things).

Is the a computer at home ? Is it running XP ? where is the server ? where is the network ?

It is my secure server. When I go on websites like ebay or my bank and before i can enter name and password a page comes up server cannot be found. I had a home network so i could use my laptop it was a netgear. My computer is a home computer with windows xp
