Does anyone know the name of the actress that played Peggy Mitchells sister in Eastenders (about 8 years ago) she was also in alot of Carry On films in the 60s

Hi, her name is Anna Karen - she was also Olive in On the Buses in the 60's

damn! i know of anna karen. the actress i'm thinking of did play in eastenders but i now realise not as peggys sister! she was in a few carry on films and played a bit part in 'enders, may have been a relative of pauline fowler - she was a brassy blonde if that helps! thanks for the response anyway

She did play Peggy Mitchells sister (in law) for a few episodes the character name was Aunt Sal. However, Anna Karen did play the character as a brassy blonde rather than in her usual/typical way eg downtrodden, quiet type etc

Barbra Keough (lilly matlock 1998-99) - also in loads of 60's stuff

Thanks again! you have very could sources I'll check them out on IMDB. What it is, is she lives not far from me, and a my 11 year old step-daughter is well into Carry On films (my bad influence!) and we were talking about who's in what film.

I remember seeing Diane Langton in Eastenders a few years ago. She was in Carry on England (and other British comedies of the early seventies such as the �Confessions�� films), she was also in an episode or 2 of Only Fools and Horses. In C.O. England she played the role that would usually have gone to Babs Windsor, and was picked for her similarities (if I can call them that).
