Acer laptop recovery discs

Hi i have an acer laptop which has no space an is bugged up with viruses so i want to get it back to its original settings. I cant find the original recovery disc but my sister also has a acer laptop but a different model and has a recovery disc, am i ok to use that one or will something bad happen with it? idont want 2 completly wreck my laptop i just want everything back to normal :(

you can't damage it as such - part of the operating system is tailored to your hardware
and if the hardware is different - it might ... or might not work
you should be able to get replacement disc quite easily though

Some Acers have a "Recovery Partition" that can be used to do what you want.
