I am aware that the wrench icon has been replaced by 3 horizontal bars but I am still not able to copy any particular favourite I save in chrome to desktop. Any help will be gratefully received. Thanks. Tel

Just highlight url 'drag and drop' to desktop.

If you just want to save to Chrome bookmark just click on the star at the end of the url line.

If you wish to put a short-cut for a site onto your Desktop, you could try my method.

Click open a site's home page. Click top right of screen to reduce page size on screen.Click onto icon at start of address bar and drag it onto a blank space on desktop, before releasing finger on mouse.

Works every time for me.
