Fatty Liver Disease
6 Answers
Hi there I was completely shocked a few weeks ago I went for an abdominal ultrasound scan and they found no gallstones despite me having pain after eating fatty food, GP thinks it is something called Bilary Dyskensia which basically means a dsyfunctional gallbladder which goes into spasm. Anyway he told me the scan had shown non alcoholic fatty liver disease he says it is not uncommmon in overweight people and people with type 2 diabetes But 1 in 5 people with this can develop chirrosis of the liver which is quite shocking as well you normally never think of the liver when it comes to being overweight normally you think of heart risks. I am getting on a diet straight away and joining a gym this weekend can fatty liver disease be reversed if I lose weight and get rid of the type 2 diabetes. That is under control HBA1c down to 7%
