I use Vista as my OS, but some sites give the opportunity to click on an email address and write without having to open windows mail, then create mail, and then copy/paste the email address etc. These addresses automatically open Outlook Express (my version of Office is 2000). However, my problem is that my version of OE 2000 does not seem to have 'send & receive'.The help pages say that these should appear under 'tools', and therefore under 'customize' I should be able to have it on the main toolbar all the time. BUT - where is the send/receive command on OE 2000 please?

I've got OE5 but a quick bit of experimenting has shown me how to lose and then replace the 'Send/Recv' button. Try this:

Go to View > Layout. Check to see if there's a tick alongside 'Toolbar'. (I suspect that there won't be). Click to enter the tick. Click 'Apply' and 'OK'.

If there's already a tick in place, there might be an error with OE. Sometimes removing it and putting it back will work. So click to remove the tick. Click 'Apply' then 'OK'. Then go through the procedure again, to replace the tick.
