Still getting my head around this setter. 19a...One might be probed by hospital...A?H?...ACHE ?

I always thought that there had to be a definition of the answer in every cryptic clue, but where how does ACHE fit ?

I suppose a hospital might "probe" an ache. Sounds painful!

Thanks everybody. Not been doing the Saturday Times puzzle for very long. I have been trying to find an alternative to my beloved Guardian. I have won it twice in the last 18 months and I don't really want a third lot of the same book prizes ! I wish they would alter the prizes around a bit.

Am enjoying the Sat i paper ...not won a radio yet though.
