Mm Links Results September 2013 Week 2

The Queen of Pixies has worked her magic and this week you were all very much better at guessing her links which were:

FANCY DRESS
HEART BREAK/ER/ING/BROKEN
SOFT CENTRE

You were so good in fact that only one third of players went away empty-handed.

One player in particular will have cause to celebrate.

I could see immediately after the game started that it was going to be a great week. The first 10 players found all the links in the first three minutes.

Beejay 1124 kicked off by going for broke, sorry, HEART BREAK. BigMac, tearinghair, deecee131 & cliffyg were all in time to offer consolences for 2 points each.

Roslyn251254 then turned up alone with a WEDDING RING worth 2 points.

Rockfordill pondered the possibilities for two long minutes then applied the logic of 'suck it and see', only to discover it had a SOFT CENTRE (2 points)

With the clock still on 9:03, Evsajo decided to liven things up with a FANCY DRESS for her two points.


Thereafter the links were worth just single points but many were claimed, including three double-hitters; jobjockey, Psybbo & SHAZZA-Hewat.

BUT . . .

All that pales into insignificance against a phenomenal achievement by one player 40 minutes into the game.
That player had been missing from the game for several weeks but dipped her toe back into the waters once again last weekend.
She certainly made up for her absence by claiming the GOLDEN BESOM award along with HOTSHOT for a clean sweep worth 6 points.

Why didn't anybody wake me up? I forgot to check the results for this week, and as Christiana and Manxie Mo have droppped in on passing through from the Isle of man to Lincolnshire, they told me of my mighty achievement! Wow....didn't I do well!
