Countdown type puzzle

Using 123456789, create a sum equal to 100. you can only use add, subtract, multiply & divide. I can see that the last action must be plus or minus 9, but don't know where else to start.
Any ideas?

assuming you have to use all the numbers, its works this way may be a bit longwinded though

6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 30

- 5 = 25

x 4 = 100

+ 1 = 101

+ 2 = 103

- 3 = 100

soory 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 = 30!

9 x 8 = 72. Add all the others and you get 100.
