Hard Rock & Hard Face? Autumn - fall Fall over?
Dear PG, Please don't see this as a baseless criticism...I can totally see what you're getting at, but the answers don't really fit the pattern provided in Stella's example.

If 'hard' is the link-word, surely the phrases must be 'rock hard' and 'hard face'...ie the 'hard' coming after one and before the other, rather than before both.

Yes, 'fall over' is a standard phrase and 'fall' is an alternative (USA) name for Autumn but 'Autumn fall' isn't a standard phrase. Personally, I prefer 'mists'. Autumn is often seen as the "season of mists (and mellow fruitfulness)"...so 'Autumn mists' is a common phrase. Also, in cold weather, one's windscreen quite often 'mists over'.

I seem to recall that it was Stella who asked us all once about proverbs and she did return eventually to tell us what the correct answers were. It'd be nice if you did that this time, too, Ma'am! (Once more...no offence intended, PG.)

Dear Quizmonster, no offence taken, anyway I was always hopeless at quizzes.
