Door Keys.

When I was a lot younger my dad used to hang the front door key on a piece of string inside the door, you put your hand through the letter box, pulled the key through and unlocked the door, a lot of the neighbors did it too, does anyone still dare to do this.

No one locked their doors where I lived (Darzet - Ahhhhh)
In Plymouth - they had a lock-your-car week (1980) and it was a disaster. 50% said they never locked the car....
As the chief constable explained, no-one started to lock their cars but all the car thieves in London took a single ticket to Plymouth......

I guess everybody must be right right when it comes to years ago. I was born in 1953 and I can't remember anything like the crime that we had today, certainly not within working class areas. We also didn't have much to steal. I wish we could go back to those days, at least for some things at least.
I hate graffiti and most certainly don't subscribe to the school that thinks it a "lifestyle activity" and that Banksie is some kind of modern Rembrandt. But its everywhere these days !
