The Recent Tales Of Homeless People Getting Rewards
5 Answers
sorry to be negative about these heartwarming tales - they're great, but is this sort of thing going to spring up a few fake, copycat heartwarming tales?
i mean the reward for these men being honest has been phenomenal
i wouldn't be surprised if a couple of scammers got together and created some sort of story how they lost something which was returned, by a homeless person, and so they set up a funding page - i mean would anyone check?
since half the donations come from round the world due to online coverage, you'd never know if these were just a couple of friends making it up.
what do you think?
cheers

The local example to me involved a gentleman who was well known in a certain part of the city centre, he was interviewed by media and all sorts. A fair amount of reward for him came from members of the public who had read about him and recognised who was and made donations to him. In fact, I was more worried about him being targeted because of this, by other more unscrupulous people knowing a vulnerable older gentleman was likely to have more money on them than usual. I bought a hat and some extra warmth socks for him because of that.
He hasn't just disappeared either, I still see him out a lot in his usual spot.
