Vitamin K And Heavy Periods
1 Answers
I've been suffering from terrible heavy periods ever since I came off the pill over 2 years ago. It stops me from working and sleeping. I'm constantly changing, like every hour.
I've read and heard that Vitamin K can help reduce the bleeding. Does anyone know if this is true?
I've been to my GP and they say there's not a lot they can do, especially as my husband and I are trying to start a family.
Can anyone help and give me advice please?

In this situation Vit.K can help or indeed alleviate heavy bleeding BUT only a blood test will tell if you are deficient in this particular Vitamin.
The chances are that you are not deficient and as such Vit K will not help your heavy periods.
If you want to start a family then it is essential that you see a Gynaecologist to investigate the menorrhagia.
