It seems that the weather presenter's beehive / ponytail interface has caused some consternation among the twittering classes.

I fail to see why - to me she has always looked and sounded like an adroid from another planet that he been taught to move and speak by a computer.

She honestly gives me the creeps, and if i can avoid watching and listening to her, i will, so the notion of a weird hairstyle seems entirely in keeping with her image thus far - somewhat strange and scary.

What do others think?

I did see the hairstyle 'live' and I did wonder if perhaps she was off out somewhere after as it seemed a bit fancy for a weather forecast. I don't really like Sian Lloyd as a presenter but if she gives me a reliable weather forecast she can sport a green Mohican if she likes.
I find her weird also, her robotic movements just aren't natural, I just feel she is full of herself.
It's her 'I Dream Of Jeannie' look.

I can't take my eyes off her hands!!!!

Nor me - I wonder if she is secretly casting spells!

Everything about her seems so unatural, even her Welsh accent, which I adore from anyone else (with the exception of Tom Jones!) - I just find her really uncomfortable to watch and listen to, so where possible, I do neither.
She sat next to me once on a flight. Very rude woman!!
I have to agree andy - I don't take against many people on TV, but SL really shouldn't still be on there. I dislike that she says "as well as" instead of "and"...and that mouth - always reminds us of the opening in a post-box!

She ain't no Oil Painting at the best of times!
not a new phenomenon (personal comments re presenters)

woofgang - perfect - as usual.
:-) Andy I love that punchline. Victoria Wood is as good as Joyce Grenfell at the comedic non sequitur.
I love the "provocative eyes" comment

I have this vision of Sian LLoyd and Cherie Blair as prisoner visitors taking a prisoner a cake with files in it and then having a slice each with the files inside.
It's just what she always wanted ...
