What was your immediate reaction when you saw the seizure, what exactly were you doing at the time?
With the description that you have given, I have no idea as to the cause....could be many things.
If it is only of a day or two onset then take some analgesic and monitor the situation.

It went within 10 minutes Sqad but was so intense it made me wince to say the least.
j.d. we were in the hospital, he'd had two a few hours before but this one was so violent I really thought he'd died.
Type Your Answer Here...On going stress can cause all sorts of aches and pains but for your back to just "go" or spasm due to shock, I am not sure if possible? Maybe a more qualified person could offer an explanation?
Did you move or turn quickly at the time or rush to assist, anything like that?
Not so sure about the stress aspect, but do agree with jd it does sound muscular in origin. There are alternative diagnoses that come to mind but less common cause for the pain that you describe.

Monitor the situation as my advice above.

Thanks both! I did think it could've been the shock, not strain as I didn't do anything strenuous - very strange.
