It's gone - so far I've checked that nothing's on mute and that the drivers are up to date.

Any help appreciated

Is there no sound from speakers as well as the headphone socket ?
some laptops have a volume switch on right SIDE....turn it up

I'm sure there was another thread about this earlier today, but I'm darned if I can find it. I've now got the same problem.

1.What Op System are u on ?
2. Name of lappy ?
Well I'm on a PC, Windows XP and Firefox (but have to go to work now - will look in later - ta)
a.Start/Control Panel/Sounds & devices; is the speaker ticked on off (red circle with cross) ? Untick icon.

b. Start/Help & support/Sound. You can adjust Sound.

c. Tools/plugins (top of this page) enable Media Player
