Think she's really stressed out over Mic just now....chin up jeza..we're all thinking of you ! Xxx...
Yes, she's been posting - hard times though, mic's still in hospital. Thinking of you both, jeza.
Thanks for asking Maydup. Mic is still critical. He had a brainscan this afternoon. He is having another MRI scan as he was not still enough last time. They said next time they will sedate him so that he keeps still. As it is now the weekend the tests and results appear to stop until Monday. I do not want to knock the NHS but there are loads of people standing about most of the time, and why does everything stop for the weekend, I thought it was a 24/7 service. He has also had a CT scan, again no results until Monday. This is not a small hospital but supposed to be a specialist unit. It's miles from where we live and costs a fortune to get there. I'm not complaining about that but when you pay your dues all your life I think the treatment should not stop because it's the weekend.
I agree about the weekend procedure.
I was due for an operation on a Friday ( I was already in hospital) but it got too late in the day as they were running behind.
I thought it would be done the next day (Saturday) as I always thought hospitals were 24/7 but I was told no, it would not be done till Monday.
Amazing.
Yes Jeza, hospitals just seem to go into tickover at weekends, except for emergency cases.

Hi Jeza, good to hear from you. I know how frustrating the weekends are in hospital, and how in general things seem to move more slowly than you'd like them to.

Can you stay overnight occasionally to reduce the travelling?

Was scheduled an operation for a Thursday. This procedure apparently only occurred on a Thursday. Told I would be in two days, to be discharged on Saturday. Yes , you've guessed, no consultant rounds on Saturday or Sunday, so stuck there until Monday. Food was inedible.
no consultant rounds on Saturday or Sunday

Golf days, Daisy !, the food is almost always inedible.
Jeza, keeping you both in my thoughts. So dispiriting to have everything come to a standstill. Hope Monday brings progress.
Sorry I took this long to answer. Thank you all for your kind thoughts. Night Night.
